When a tree is felled by chainsaw, the triangular wedge from the cut is left. I gather them from roadsides and forests. I sand, prime, and paint them. There is something about the physicality of the process that is so fulfilling. Creating something so 3 dimensional, so irreproducible, out of organic foraged matter, is my response to the increasing automation of art. These sell locally and are perfect for altars, shelves, porches, greenhouses, windowsills, among potted plants, or even outside.
