Oracle Cards
Ever heard of the Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz? Most haven't. It was written in the middle ages by a teenage lutheran monk who later declared it a joke: I like to view it through that lens. For all its profoundness and metahporical meaning, it also subverts understanding by making fun of esotericism in an amazing way. It's a tale of intitiation into a higher form of vision, and alchemy. The wedding turns into a beheading. There are many creatures, royals, garden scenes, boats, nymphs, and towers. After reading this tale, and some of steiner's writing on it, I made 20 oracle cards based on important moments in the story. I wrote the accompanying booklet based on commentaries by Dennis Klocek, Steiner, Meditations on the Tarot, and my own gnosis.
